What is adaptability?
Adaptability is the ability to easily adapt to changing circumstances. Adaptable people tend to thrive in unpredictable environments and can react quickly to new information and situations.

Why is it important?
Adaptability is important because it’s empowering, it allows us to be proactive in the face of change and to turn it into success.
This skill is important because it forces us to change internally instead of trying to alter an already changed situation.

Do something that scares you and forces you to adapt. Whether that is applying for that senior position or volunteering, the trait of adaptability and growth are waiting for you on the other side.
Embrace change positively
While you can’t change all external circumstances, you can embrace change as an inevitability and learn to adapt to it quicker. Changing yourself to adapt can become your superpower!

Undertake new projects
You can volunteer or start a passion project! Either way, following your passions and starting something new can be a great way to adapt to new circumstances.
Learn agility
Agility is the ability to learn from experiences, adapt to new ones, receive feedback and having a growth mindset. All of these traits will allow you to become more adaptable and crush your goals!
Practice emotional self-regulation
This skill requires discipline but has proven to be valuable when dealing with challenging situations. It also requires self awareness and channeling your emotions into more productive ways.
Be open-minded
A closed-mind is the enemy of adaptability. You need to come into experiences being open to learning and understanding in order to adapt to new knowledge and information.

Get rid of your ego
Your ego can be your enemy as well as it can fool you into thinking you have all of the necessary knowledge and information. That simply can’t be the case all of the time, allow yourself to be wrong!
