Hey guys,
Today I wanted to share with you some of my training clips and weight-lifting tips. My current goal is to squat 100 kg for 1 repetition. I have been working alongside a weight-lifting coach with this goal in mind.
I have posted some training clips to inspire/motivate anyone else along their weight-lifting journey. Here are a few tips I recommend towards reaching your squat goals, while I am not squatting 100kg just yet, I have managed to squat 85kg for 1 rep in my last week.
I will give you the six tips that got me from squatting 50kg to 85kg in just 2 months.
Tip #1: Have a specific goal and visualize yourself achieving it.
Tip #2: Work alongside a training coach or a partner with the same goals as you.
Tip #3: Work towards developing upper body strength by incorporating compound lifts into your training regimen.
Add bench press, shoulder press, lateral raises, back rows and push-ups into your program. These will develop into total body strength and will improve your squat.
Tip #4: Develop mental fortitude and strength.
This will naturally come as a byproduct of this process, aim to be aware of it’s utility and function in and out of training.
Tip #5: Film yourself during your squat, re-watch and improve your performance!
Tip #6: Prioritize rest and eat well.
Tip #7: Learn about progressive overload.
Apply it to your squat training with great faith that it will transform your physique.
I hope that you guys enjoyed this post on my squat journey and training tips, please let me know what you thought about it in the comments section below.
