Benefits of Stretching Hips Before and After Your Work Out
Stretching your hips before any type of physical activity can help increase mobility. Good mobility can improve squat depth and performance during any compound lifts at the gym.
While not everybody I know follows a stretching routine, I find that consistency with even these three hip stretches can lead to less soreness and improved range of motion during lifts like deadlifts and squats.
Hold each of the three pose for 30 seconds and alternate sides. You can repeat as many times as needed and even consider adding these stretches to your workout program for increased mobility.
